These could be real places. But they are not. They are created sceneries, composed from many different images. The impossible landscapes are created from actual images of landscapes: Meadows, parts of gardens, little corners with lots of plants by the wayside. It is not the individual plant that takes centre stage here, but the composition in a scenery. This scenery resembles a natural landscape, but only almost. Through different focussing, superimpositions, bokeh effects and the arrangement in a non-real composition, the aim is rather to create a view into a fantastic, kaleidoscope-like world.
